How someone with musical experience can manage to write songs for a band, at the very least (Part 2).

Jan 30, 2022

In the previous issue, we discussed the preparation for writing a piece of music.

From here, I would like to go practice.

◆Writing a melody.

It is a good idea to write the melody first (melody first).
By writing the melody first, it is more likely to become the music you want to create.
Write along the lines of the "written notes of the artist's quirks you want to model" mentioned in the previous section.

Key point: Take the whole thing and make sure the chorus is the highest.

◆Chord it.

After writing the melody, roughly chord it.
I think it would be better if I can add this according to the "memo that I wrote down the peculiarities".

◆Arrangement
Trace the usable parts from the band score of the "artist you want to model.

Point: Instead of including this and that, refine the elements.
Especially in drums, multiply and subtract based on certain rhythmic patterns.

Finishing (cheating?) Finishing (fudging?)

Where the acoustics are not full, wrap it up with synthesizers.

◆Let's do some mixing and mastering.

It is a good idea not to turn up the volume of each track too high.

◆Conclusion
How was it?
Some of you may think that this is not a very versatile composition method....

Everyone composes music in a different way.
So, I think it is a good idea to find the best method for you.

However, if you have studied on your own and hit your head, you may want to take professional lessons. I think you should take professional lessons.

The online lesson "Lesson Grid" has many composition teachers.
If you want to improve your composition skills, please take a trial lesson.

We look forward to hearing from you!
