1. no parts?

Rehearsals with the orchestra, the excitement of being handed a new score. And then there's the viola part...no viola part? That feeling of being told, "Oh, you'll have to play the viola part later.

2. alto clef master

What clef is that?" you often ask. Yes, we are experts in alt clef. A special skill for those who can read, but a complete mystery for those who can't.

3. "What's a viola?"

When I play the viola, people ask me, "Is that a big violin?" or "Is that a smaller version of the cello? or "Is that a small version of a cello? I am often asked, "Is that a big violin? Each time I explain, my love for the viola deepens.

4. a magician of tones

The viola's tone adds a unique warmth and depth to the orchestra. It takes a lot of effort and practice to produce that magical tone, but it is well worth it.

5. solo music, where?

There are many violin and cello solo pieces to choose from, but when it comes to finding viola solo pieces, it is a bit of a treasure hunt. But when you find one, you will be very happy.

6. the orchestra's hidden heroes

The viola often goes unnoticed in an orchestra, but without us the music would not be complete. Viola players are the true hidden heroes.
