Trial Lessons
First, try it for yourself! Japanese Drumming Beginner to In
Become familiar with and understand rhythm.
This course is designed to familiarize students with taiko, learn the basics, develop the necessary physical strength, and deepen their technique and expression.
I've always wanted to try taiko!
Stress relief!
I want to exercise, make loud thumping sounds, and work up a refreshing (muddy) sweat!
I've been doing it on my own in club activities or in a group, but I can't seem to get better...
I want to learn how to beat the drums in a reasonable and presentable way!
I want to be able to produce a sound with a core!
I'm petite, but I want to be attractive with a strong back!
I was told that my taiko sound has no singing spirit! What should I do?
I don't know the rhythm of this music, it's too difficult to play...
I'm going to play the Japanese drums in a concert!
I want to be able to play this song in a cool way!
I have to think of a rhythm for the song by myself, but I don't know how to do it...
I want to be a trusted taiko player!
I want to improve my sense of rhythm!
I yearn to play taiko at festivals...
I want to play at a wedding reception!
I tried it before and enjoyed it, so I want to know more about it! I want to continue!
I want to make friends for life!
I want to get better! etc.
Even if you don't have an instrument or a bachi, you can do call and response (imitation rhythm),
Try "body percussion," using your hands, knees, and body to beat the music,
We can decipher sheet music, give advice on how to practice difficult rhythms, and so on.
There are many things you can do to strengthen your sense of rhythm.
If you have a musical instrument, we can give you detailed insights and practice methods while actually playing the instrument!
To put it bluntly, I still wish I didn't have an instrument during lessons,
I can strengthen the rhythm, check the form, etc., but without the instrument, I can't give you tips on how to make the core of the instrument sound,
Without an instrument, you may be able to strengthen your rhythm, check your form, etc., but you won't be able to practice giving hints on how to sound the core of the instrument or get used to the bounce of each drum's skin.
This is a barrier to online lessons...
However, it is difficult to play marimbas and other instruments that have narrow targets and scales, especially if you don't have an instrument,
However, taiko has a wide target and a single note, so if you have a bachi and a target to hit, you can take most of the lessons!
(Especially for those who want to learn how to make a core sound, to get used to the instrument, or to participate in an audition or competition, it is preferable to have a musical instrument (either bring your own or take lessons from the studio).
Contact with rhythm and music in a fun and playful way,
Develop the muscles and strength necessary for taiko drumming,
We will polish your fundamentals, technique, and expressiveness!
Although it is a percussion instrument that is easy to play, it is a very deep instrument because of that.
It's easy to play, but that's why it's such a profound instrument.
Let us help enrich your life.

Without the instrument, we can strengthen rhythm, check form, etc., but without the instrument, we can't do much more,
Without an instrument, it is difficult to practice giving hints on how to sound the core of the instrument and to get used to the bounce of the skin of each drum.
Also, I can't listen to the sound and breath in the same space as in a face-to-face lesson,

I will give lessons without an instrument, but will do my best to do so online.
(I may do lessons with instruments depending on the student's preference, availability of a studio, and other circumstances, but this would increase the price of the lesson, so please contact me for more details.)
